Roles and Responsibilities

-Responds to all service calls from the user departments in regards to the breakdown of biomedical equipment and their maintenance. -Ensure proper functioning of all medical equipment in the organization through routine checkups. -Carries out the functions detailed in the protocols and service schedules of the department in a time bound fashion. -Familiarize with the operation of various equipments and advises the user departments in case of any clarification in functioning of equipments. -Report any breakdown or possible breakdown of equipments to user department and the superiors immediately and take effective action to correct the same. -Report any malfunction detected in the medical equipments to the superiors immediately and take effective action to correct the same. -Respond to urgent calls during off hours and other holidays/weekends. -Report the requirements of spare parts and raw materials for the maintenance of the biomedical equipments to the superiors and ensure effective follow up. -Keep up to date records of all maintenance work conducted and maintain Medical Device card. -Routinely maintain all the records and registers in the department like Service call register, Equipment register, Stock register etc. -Keep relevant documents and manuals of all medical equipments including purchase related documents. -Carries out any other duties delegated by the management from time to time. -Report occupational injuries to the superior.

Degree - Biomedical
